SPECIFIC TERMS FOR VPS AND WEB HOSTING
Article 1. Applicability
1.1These terms apply in addition to VPS hosting, web hosting and related server services.
1.2These terms supplement the General Terms of Service and AUP.
Article 2. VPS hosting
2.1A VPS gives the customer access to a virtual server with assigned resources.
2.2The customer is responsible for:
2.3VylorNode is not responsible for damage caused by incorrect management, hacked software, weak passwords or unpatched systems.
2.4VylorNode may restrict access in case of abuse, malware, scanning, DDoS, blacklisting or threats to infrastructure.
Article 3. Root/admin access
3.1If root or administrator access is provided, the customer is fully responsible for actions on the VPS.
3.2VylorNode may refuse support or charge additional fees where issues arise from customer configuration.
3.3The customer may not perform actions that affect hypervisors, nodes or other customers.
Article 4. Web hosting
4.1Web hosting is intended for websites, databases, email where included, and normal web applications.
4.2The customer is responsible for CMS, plugins, themes, scripts, passwords, content and users.
4.3VylorNode may temporarily block websites in case of malware, phishing, spam, overload or security risk.
4.4The customer must perform security updates in a timely manner.
4.5Web hosting may not be used for file dumping, streaming portals, piracy, phishing or large-scale download portals without permission.
Article 5. Databases
5.1Databases must be used reasonably.
5.2Queries or processes that disproportionately burden nodes are prohibited.
5.3VylorNode may set limits for database size, connections, queries, CPU and I/O.
Article 6. Email
6.1Email is only included where stated in the package.
6.2Spam, phishing and mass mailing are prohibited.
6.3VylorNode may limit email sending in case of blacklisting, bounce issues or abuse.
6.4The customer is responsible for SPF, DKIM, DMARC and correct mail configuration where applicable.
Article 7. IP addresses
7.1IP addresses remain the property of VylorNode or its suppliers.
7.2The customer has no right to retain a specific IP address unless agreed in writing.
7.3IP addresses may not be used for spam, abuse, blackhat SEO, botnets or reputational damage.
7.4Recovery costs caused by blacklisting due to customer use may be charged to the customer.
Article 8. Backups and snapshots
8.1Snapshots and backups are not a replacement for the customer’s own backups.
8.2VylorNode may exclude backups in case of large amounts of data, abuse, illegal content or technical limitations.
8.3Recovery from backup may take time and is not guaranteed unless agreed in writing.
Article 9. Resource policy
9.1VylorNode may apply reasonable technical limits.
9.2In case of overload, VylorNode may stop processes, limit resources or advise an upgrade.
9.3Repeated overload may lead to suspension or termination of the service.
Article 10. Migration
10.1VylorNode may offer migration assistance but does not guarantee that all data, configurations or applications will be transferred without issues.
10.2The customer must verify migrations and maintain their own backups.
